Transportation Passes
Transportation insecurity is one of the most pressing challenges among our Clients. Many hard-working individuals lose their jobs simply because their planned way to work fell through. So Naomi's House provides free CTA passes & $20 ride share credits to established Clients with demonstrated need.

Emergency Child Care
Every parent has been there...your child is suddenly sick and you cannot take him to daycare or school. And this always seems to happen at the worst possible time, like right as you're walking out the door to work. For many of us this is minor inconvenience that takes a few phone calls to overcome. For our Clients, there often is no "Plan B" because all adults in the household work and they work for employers who cannot accommodate last minute requests for the day off. So in many cases, a sick child means disciplinary action at work...or even termination. That's why Naomi's House offers services that link Clients up with emergency childcare providers and we supplement the cost so that our Clients pay little or nothing. But emergency childcare is not cheap! It costs $50 per child per day and is one of our single biggest expenses.

Grocery Items for "Fridge" & "Pantry"
Many people don't realize how badly local food pantries are being impacted by recent events across the Country. Many large pantries are no longer providing grocery items to small organizations like Naomi's House because their own supply is too limited. So in order to provide Clients with nutritious, practical grocery items, Naomi's House often has to buy direct from big-box stores. As we all know, food prices are at an all-time high, so these grocery purchases really impact our bottom line. We are happy to accept donations just for groceries as well as donations of nonperishable food items right onsite.
