Volunteer Opportunities
There are countless ways you can help Naomi's House in serving hard-working members of our community! Listed below are some of our biggest needs. If something jumps out at you, click the link below to volunteer. Oh, and spoiler alert: you do NOT have to live in Chicagoland to volunteer for Naomi's House. We can put you to good work no matter where you live!
Present to Our Clients
Are you a professional inspired by Our Mission? We need your expertise! Whether you're a mechanic, counselor, accountant, doctor, chef, or musician, we invite you to share your knowledge on topics you think are just "common sense" but may not be widely known by our Clients. (Time commitment: 3 hrs)
Cook Grab & Go Meals
Love to cook?? We have just the job for you! Help us prepare "grab & go" meals to stock the fridge for our Cients! (Time commitment: 2 hrs)
Staff the "Kids Club" During Programming
Does hanging out with kiddos brighten your day? Then please consider volunteering at our onsite Kids Club during programming. Your job will be keeping the little ones entertained and safe for a couple of hours! (Time commitment: 3 hrs)
Be an Onsite Host
Are you the host(ess) with the mostest?? Volunteer as an onsite host for client programming. Your role will be to help get the program's presenter set up, welcome clients & get them checked in and make sure everyone feels welcome and at home (Time commitment: 3 hrs)
"Grandpa Taxi"
One of the biggest struggles our Clients have is getting to and from work when their usual transportation falls through. If you have a reliable car, spare time on your hands and love to be behind the wheel, you can become part of our "community ride share" services to help Clients get to and from work. (Time commitment: varies)
Fundraising
Are you one of those bold, fearless souls who doesn't mind asking for donations for a GREAT cause? Then we need your help! From calling donors to reaching out to local businesses for support to hosting a bake sale...every penny and every donation helps us make a difference in the lives of our Clients. (Time commitment: varies)
Community Outreach
Do you love bringing people together and making connections? We'd love to have you join our Community Outeach efforts to help us spread the word about Naomi's House at job fairs, community events, and other grass-roots outreach! (Time commitment: 2-4 hrs)
Behind the Scenes Support
The unsung heroes of any Organization are the volunteers who help make it all happen behind the scenes. Whether its helping with our social media efforts, helping create marketing materials, or even just making copies at the local print shop, this work is essential to Naomi's House's success! (Time commitment varies: 1-4 hrs)
